01 · ABOUT US

A family house built
on the water

Med Sea Navigation Co. was founded in 1996 by Mr. Yamani Felfela — one of the leading figures in Egypt's investment and shipping industry, with more than fifty years of experience in international trade — under Investment Law 230/1989's Private Free Zones system, exempt from customs and duties across all our services.

From a single shipping agency desk in Alexandria, the company grew alongside Egypt's trade routes: a regular line to North Africa, an independent chartering and shipbroking arm, and, more recently, a full freight-forwarding operation covering sea, air and land.

1996

Shipping agency founded

Med Sea begins agency services to vessels calling at Egyptian ports, backed by a management team with decades of trading experience and an operational team built for round-the-clock cover.

1997

First regular line to North Africa

In response to market demand, Med Sea establishes its first scheduled shipping line between Egypt and North Africa, opening with three vessels.

2000

Chartering & shipbroking desk

An independent chartering and shipbrokerage department opens, serving ship-owners and charterers with the safe, on-time transport of bulk and general cargoes of any size.

2013

Freight forwarding department

Following further market needs, Med Sea adds air freight, LCL, FCL and land transportation services, extending its reach worldwide.

Certified Quality System
ISO 9001:2000

The company has rigorously implemented, and continues to implement, its ISO 9001:2000 quality system — certified by TÜV — with a code of conduct built to ensure services and staff always operate at the highest level.
